Credit Card Payoff Calculator
Enter your card balance, its yearly rate and your monthly payment.
Why credit card debt lasts so long
Each month the card adds interest on the unpaid balance — often 2.5–3.5% a month (30–40% a year) on Pakistani cards. If you pay only the minimum, most of the payment goes to interest and the balance falls very slowly. The calculator shows how long that would take and how much interest it costs, compared with a fixed payment you choose.
Paying it off faster
- Pay a fixed amount every month that is clearly above the interest — the result shows when you would be debt-free.
- Use "pay off within" to see the monthly payment needed to clear the card by a date, for example before Eid or within a year.
- Stop using the card while paying it down, or the balance keeps growing.
- Ask your bank about converting the balance into fixed installments at a lower rate.
The calculation assumes no new purchases and a fixed rate, with interest added monthly. Late fees, annual fees and taxes are not included.
