Privacy Policy

This policy explains what MentorMakers.pk ("we", "us") collects, why, and how long we keep it. It covers the website mentormakers.pk and the MentorMakers: 250+ Tools app for Android. MentorMakers.pk is operated by Maati Tech, Pakistan. Questions: use our Contact page.
1. Files you upload to our tools
• Some tools work entirely in your browser (for example the image editor, background remover, PDF reader, code editor and most calculators). Those files and inputs are not uploaded to us.
• Server tools (for example PDF compression, conversion, OCR, video and audio conversion) upload your file to our server only to produce the result. We do not open, read or share your files for any other purpose.
• A finished result is available through a private, single-use download link. It is deleted when you download it; if you never download it, an automatic cleanup job deletes it — normally within about an hour. Temporary working copies are removed when processing ends, and anything left over is deleted by the same cleanup job.
• Sharing from other apps: if you use "Share" in another app (for example WhatsApp or your gallery) and choose MentorMakers, the shared files are sent to our server and kept for about an hour so you can pick a tool; then they are deleted automatically. Anyone with the private link to that share could open the files during that hour, so don't forward it.
• Please don't upload documents you are not allowed to process.
2. Account information
If you create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password (or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google), an optional profile picture you upload, your plan, and optional settings such as two-factor authentication and email preferences. The website and the Android app use the same account.
3. Things you choose to save
When signed in you can save CVs, invoices, quotes and client details, Urdu book drafts, code snippets, signature requests (including the names and email addresses of the people you ask to sign), community posts, comments and tool reviews. These stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Community posts, replies, blog comments and tool reviews can be deleted under My Account › Privacy & Data; other items are deleted from the tool where you created them. If other members have replied to a community post you delete, your title, text, link and image are removed and the post shows "[removed]" so their answers stay readable. Shared invoice and signing links can be opened by anyone who has the link until they expire or are withdrawn.
4. Community: rules, reporting and blocking
• Community questions, replies, blog comments and written tool reviews must follow our community rules (mentormakers.pk/community/rules). You agree to them once before your first post, and we store the time you agreed.
• Any signed-in member can report a post, reply, comment or review. We store the report, the reason you chose, any details you add and your account ID so that our team can review it. Content reported by several members is hidden automatically until it is reviewed. Content that breaks the rules is removed, and members who break them repeatedly are suspended.
• You can block another member. We store who you blocked so their posts, replies, comments and reviews are hidden from you. They are not told. You can unblock them under My Account › Privacy & Data › Blocked members.
5. Payments
Paid plans are currently paid by bank transfer or local wallets on our website. Plans are not sold inside the Android app. If you upload a payment proof (a screenshot or PDF), it is stored privately and viewed only by our admins to confirm your payment. We do not receive or store your card or bank login details. Payment records (amount, plan, dates, status) and payment proofs are kept when an account is deleted, linked to an anonymous record instead of your name and email, because we need them for accounting and to resolve disputes.
6. Contact messages and support
Messages sent through the Contact page (name, email and message) are stored so we can reply.
7. AI features
When AI features are switched on, the text you type into AI Studio, the assistant or the site chatbot is sent to our AI provider (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) to generate an answer. We keep the questions and answers, together with a one-way hashed version of your IP address, to prevent abuse, enforce daily limits and improve answers. Don't enter sensitive personal information into AI tools.
8. Developer API
For API users we store a fingerprint (hash) of your API key — not the key itself after creation — plus each call's endpoint, time, success status and IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
9. Analytics, cookies and advertising
• Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect forms against forgery and remember your language.
• Our own statistics: we count page views and tool uses. Visitor counts use a daily-changing one-way hash of IP address and browser, so we cannot identify you; these records are deleted after 90 days.
• Google Analytics / Tag Manager (when enabled) measure how the site is used, including your approximate location (country or city, from your IP address).
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel (when enabled) records visits to help us measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram. Meta's own privacy policy applies to that data.
• Google AdSense shows ads to visitors on the free plan, on the website and in the Android app. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers, and your approximate location, to serve and measure ads, which may include personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features (like signing in) need essential cookies to work.
• Push notifications are off until you tap "Turn on" and allow them. We then store the push address your browser or phone gives us (a long web address from Google, Mozilla, Microsoft or Apple), whether it came from the website or the app, and your account ID if you are signed in. We use it only to send occasional notifications about new tools and important updates. Turn them off any time in your browser or phone settings; addresses that stop working are deleted automatically.
10. The MentorMakers app for Android
• The app opens the MentorMakers.pk website inside the app, using Chrome on your phone. Everything in this policy applies to the app in the same way as to the website.
• The app uses the internet permission and, on Android 13 and later, the notification permission, which Android asks you about only after you tap "Turn on" for notifications. It does not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or phone storage, and it does not read your device's advertising ID.
• If you share files to the app from another app, they are handled as described in section 1.
• When you choose a file in a tool, Android lets you pick that one file, and it is handled as described in section 1. If you use the voice recorder or screen recorder tools, Chrome asks for your permission first, and the recording stays on your device unless you choose to upload it.
• Ads and analytics in the app work as described in section 9, using Chrome's cookies.
11. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We use service providers to run the site and the app — hosting, email delivery, Google (sign-in, analytics, ads, Search Console), Meta (advertising pixel), AI providers when AI features are used, and WhatsApp/Meta if you use our WhatsApp bot. Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and approximate location for their own advertising purposes, as described in section 9. We may disclose information if required by law.
12. Security
Connections are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, payment proofs and tool results are kept in private storage, and admin access is limited by role. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
13. Your choices and rights
In My Account › Privacy & Data (on the website or in the app) you can:
• Download your data — a machine-readable (JSON) file with your account details, plan and payment history, posts, replies, reviews, comments, CVs, invoices, drafts, code snippets, signature requests and usage counts. It does not contain passwords or other secrets, uploaded files or PDFs (download those from each tool), and it is deleted from our server automatically after 48 hours.
• Delete your posts, replies, comments and reviews.
• See and remove the members you have blocked.
• Sign out of all other sessions.
• Delete your account (see section 14).
You can also update your profile, turn off marketing emails, or contact us about any request we can't handle automatically.
14. Deleting your account
• The steps are also explained at mentormakers.pk/delete-account, which works without signing in.
• You request deletion with your password (or Google sign-in) and your two-factor code if it is on, then confirm through a link we email to you.
• From that moment you are signed out everywhere, your API keys stop working and you can't sign in. Your account is deleted 7 days later; until then you can cancel with the link in our email (or request a new link from the login page).
• Deleted: your profile (name, email, photo, social links, phone number, sign-in links), saved CVs, invoices, clients, drafts and code snippets with their files, community replies, blog comments, tool reviews, community posts nobody replied to, unfinished signature requests and their files, your block list, reports you filed, push notification addresses linked to your account, usage counters, assistant conversations and data exports.
• Kept without your name or email: payment records and payment proofs (accounting and disputes); completed signed agreements, privately, because the other signers rely on them; community posts that others replied to, with your content removed; anonymous statistics such as AI usage totals; and a minimal record that the request was made and completed.
• Signature requests that other people sent to you belong to them and are not affected. Messages you sent through our Contact page are not removed automatically — ask us if you want them deleted.
• Administrator accounts, owners of teams that still have members, and accounts with a payment waiting for review can't be deleted until that is resolved; the page tells you what to do.
• Backups: copies of our data made before your account was deleted are not changed; your data is removed from them when those backup copies are deleted.
• If you can't sign in, contact us from the email address on the account and we will delete it for you.
15. Children
MentorMakers.pk and the Android app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
16. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
