Rotate Video
Choose a video and which way to turn it.
Why videos end up sideways
Phones record in the direction the sensor faces and store a "rotate" note in the file. Some apps, TVs and editing programs ignore that note, so the video plays sideways. This tool rotates the actual picture, so it plays correctly everywhere.
Which option?
- Sideways with the top on the left: 90° clockwise.
- Sideways with the top on the right: 90° anticlockwise.
- Upside down: 180°.
- A selfie video with mirrored text: mirror horizontally.
Rotation re-encodes the video as MP4 (H.264 + AAC) and keeps the sound. Any existing rotate note is cleared, so players won't turn it a second time. To change the frame shape after rotating, use Crop Video or Resize Video.
Privacy
Your file is processed on our server only to make your result, and is deleted when you download it or automatically after about an hour. It is never shared or used for anything else.
How it works
- Upload — select or drag & drop your file.
- Process — choose any options and start; most files take a few seconds, large files, OCR and video can take a minute or two.
- Download — save the result; it is deleted from the server once downloaded (or after about an hour).
