XML to CSV Converter
Paste XML with repeating records (or open a file) and download them as a CSV table.
How it works
Most XML exports (product feeds, invoices, bank and accounting exports, sitemaps) contain a list of similar records, such as many <book>, <item> or <row> elements. The converter finds the element that repeats most and turns each one into a row. Its child elements and attributes become the columns. Nested elements get dotted names (address.city), and repeated children are numbered (tag[1], tag[2]).
If the wrong element is picked, type the record element's name, for example "item", in the option box.
Opening in Excel
- Download the CSV and open it in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice.
- If Excel puts everything in one column, your computer may expect semicolons. Choose "semicolon" and download again.
- Values with commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted correctly, following the CSV standard.
Everything runs in your browser. For JSON data, use the CSV to JSON Converter instead.
How it works
- Open — choose your file; it stays on your device.
- Work — make your changes right in the browser.
- Save — download the result straight to your device.
