JSON Diff Checker
Paste the original JSON on the left and the changed JSON on the right.
Structural comparison
Unlike a plain text diff, this compares the data itself. Spaces, line breaks and the order of keys in objects don't matter, so a minified and a pretty-printed version of the same JSON count as identical. Each difference is shown with its path, for example $.limits.daily or $.features[2]:
- Added — present only in the changed JSON.
- Removed — present only in the original.
- Changed — the value or its type differs (old → new).
Arrays
By default arrays are compared position by position, because order often matters. Tick "Ignore the order of array items" for lists like tags or permissions, where [a, b] and [b, a] mean the same thing.
Typical uses: checking API responses before and after a change, comparing configuration files between servers, and reviewing translation files. For plain text or code, use the Text Diff Checker. Both files stay in your browser.
How it works
- Open — choose your file; it stays on your device.
- Work — make your changes right in the browser.
- Save — download the result straight to your device.
