JSON Schema Generator
Paste a sample of your JSON data to generate a schema you can then refine.
What gets generated
- Types: string, integer, number, boolean, null, object and array.
- Objects: every key becomes a property, and all keys can be listed as required.
- Arrays: the schemas of all items are merged. If items differ, the result uses anyOf. If a property appears in only some items, it is not required.
- Formats: strings that look like an email, date, date-time, URI or UUID get a format.
Refine it afterwards
A sample can't show everything: which fields are optional, allowed values (enum), lengths and ranges. Edit the schema to add minLength, minimum, enum or pattern where they matter, and give it a sample with optional fields left out to see the difference. Then test real data against it with the JSON Schema Validator.
JSON Schema is used to validate API requests and responses, configuration files and form data (in OpenAPI, AJV, Laravel packages and many editors).
