Create ZIP File

Private by design

The ZIP is built inside your browser tab. Your files are never uploaded to MentorMakers or anywhere else, which makes this safe for documents such as CNIC scans, bank statements and contracts. It also means large files don't have to travel over a slow connection.

How to use it

1. Click "Choose files" (hold Ctrl or Cmd to pick several), choose a folder, or drag files and folders onto the box.
2. Remove anything you don't want with ×.
3. Name the ZIP, pick "Compress" or "Store only", and click Create ZIP.

Compression

Text, documents, spreadsheets, CSV and code compress well, often to a third of their size or less. JPG photos, videos, MP3s, PDFs and Office files are already compressed, so they are stored as they are and the ZIP will be about the same size. "Store only" is fastest when you just want to bundle files into one download.

Limits

Up to 1 GB in total and 5,000 files, because everything is held in your browser's memory. File names are saved in UTF-8, which Windows 10/11, macOS, Android and 7-Zip display correctly. Very old extractors may show Urdu names incorrectly. Password-protected ZIPs are not supported: use 7-Zip with AES-256 if you need encryption. To open a ZIP, use Extract ZIP File.
