SVG Optimizer
Paste SVG code or open an .svg file to get a smaller, cleaner version.
What is removed
- XML declarations, comments and doctype
- Editor data from Inkscape, Illustrator, Sketch and Figma: metadata, sodipodi/inkscape attributes and extra namespaces
- ids that nothing refers to, and empty groups
- Scripts, <foreignObject> and event handlers such as onclick. These are a security risk if the SVG is shown on a website.
- Extra digits in coordinates (60.000000 → 60, 50.123456 → 50.12)
Check the preview
Rounding to 1–2 decimals is invisible for icons and logos at normal sizes. For detailed maps or very small viewBoxes, use 3 decimals and compare the preview. Keep <title> if the SVG needs a text alternative for screen readers.
Smaller SVGs load faster and are easier to put inline in HTML or CSS. Icons exported from design tools often shrink by 30–70%. Your file is processed in your browser. To turn an SVG into a PNG, use the Image Converter.
