PDF Metadata Editor
Choose a PDF, load its current details, change them, and download the updated file.
What PDF metadata is
Every PDF can carry document information: a title, author, subject, keywords, the application that created it and the one that produced it. The title appears in browser tabs and search results, and the author is shown in file properties. Leftover details such as an old author name, a template title or "Microsoft Word - final_v7.docx" look unprofessional.
How to use it
- Choose your PDF and press Load current details to see what is stored.
- Change the fields. Empty fields are removed from the file.
- Press Save PDF to download the updated file. The pages themselves are not changed.
"Remove all document information" strips every field, a good habit before sharing a document publicly. The separate XMP metadata block (which some readers show instead) is removed when you save, so the new details are what everyone sees. Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first with Unlock PDF.
Privacy
Your file is processed on our server only to make your result, and is deleted when you download it or automatically after about an hour. It is never shared or used for anything else.
How it works
- Upload — select or drag & drop your file.
- Process — choose any options and start; most files take a few seconds, large files, OCR and video can take a minute or two.
- Download — save the result; it is deleted from the server once downloaded (or after about an hour).
