Individuals whose income under the head "Salary" is more than 75% of their taxable income. If salary is 75% or less (for example, you also run a business), a different table applies and this calculator will not be accurate.
No. From Tax Year 2027 section 4AB says no surcharge is payable by an individual whose income is chargeable under the head "Salary". In Tax Year 2026 salaried people with taxable income above Rs 10 million paid a 9% surcharge on their tax. Other individuals and associations of persons above Rs 10 million pay a 10% surcharge.
The tax-free limit (Rs 600,000) and the first two slabs are the same. The rate between Rs 2.2 and 3.2 million fell from 23% to 20%, and between Rs 3.2 and 4.1 million from 30% to 25%. Above Rs 4.1 million there are now three slabs, 29%, 32% and 35%, instead of 35% on everything; the 35% rate now starts at Rs 7 million. The salaried surcharge was removed.
Yes. A bonus is part of salary income, so it is added to the year's taxable income and taxed at your slab rates. Enter it in the bonus field to see the effect.
No. It applies the slab rates to the salary you enter. Exempt allowances, tax credits (for example for donations or pension fund contributions) and tax already withheld are not included, so your employer's deduction or your return can differ.
The slabs change with the federal budget, usually in June, and take effect from 1 July. The page shows the tax year and the date the slabs were last checked against FBR's published law.
