Pakistan Income Tax Calculator — FBR Salary Tax Guide

Category: Pakistan Tools Updated: 16 Aug 2026 3 reads
Quick answerEnter your monthly or annual salary in the Income Tax Calculator and it applies the current FBR salary tax slabs to show your exact annual tax, monthly deduction, and effective tax rate — updated for the current fiscal year.

Every salaried person in Pakistan pays income tax under FBR's slab system — but reading the slab table yourself is confusing. The Income Tax Calculator does it instantly.

How to use it

  1. Open the Income Tax Calculator.
  2. Enter your monthly or annual salary (either works — it converts automatically).
  3. Read your results: annual tax, monthly deduction, take-home salary, and effective tax rate.

How slab tax actually works

Pakistan uses progressive slabs — you don't pay one flat rate on your whole salary. Each portion of income is taxed at its own slab rate, which is why your effective rate is always lower than your top slab rate. The calculator applies the current fiscal year's FBR slabs exactly, and the slab values are kept updated when FBR revises them in the federal budget.

💡 Use it before salary negotiations — enter the offered gross salary to see your real take-home amount.
⚠️ This calculator covers salaried income. Business income, rental income and capital gains follow different FBR rules — consult a tax practitioner for those.
