URL Slug Generator
Paste one or more titles, one per line, to get clean URL slugs.
What makes a good slug
- Short and readable:
/best-places-to-visit-lahorebeats/p?id=4821 - Lowercase words separated by hyphens. Google treats hyphens as word breaks, but not underscores.
- Contains the main keyword, without dates you will have to change later
- No spaces, accents or symbols. "Crème brûlée" becomes "creme-brulee", and & becomes "and".
Options
The length limit cuts at a whole word, so slugs never end in half a word. Removing stop words gives shorter slugs (for example "best-places-visit-lahore"), but keep them when they matter to the meaning. "Keep non-Latin letters" keeps Urdu or Arabic words in the URL, which browsers display correctly but which appear percent-encoded when copied.
Once a page is published, avoid changing its slug. If you must, add a 301 redirect from the old URL (see the .htaccess Generator). Everything runs in your browser.
