DNS Lookup
Enter a domain name to see its DNS records.
What the records mean
- A / AAAA: the server address the website points to (IPv4 / IPv6).
- CNAME: this name is an alias of another name, common for www and services like Shopify.
- MX: which servers receive email for the domain (Google Workspace, Zoho, Microsoft 365…). Lower numbers are tried first.
- NS: which DNS provider is in charge (Cloudflare, your registrar, your host).
- TXT: SPF, DMARC and DKIM email security, plus Google, Facebook and Microsoft verification codes.
- CAA: which certificate authorities may issue SSL certificates.
Changes not showing yet?
DNS answers are cached for the TTL shown (in seconds). After changing a record at your registrar, other networks may show the old value until the TTL runs out, usually from a few minutes to 24 hours. Records are looked up from our server. To check the website's certificate, use the SSL Checker. To see if a site responds, use the Website Down Checker.
