What happens to my saved work if I cancel my plan?
Cancelling a paid plan does not delete anything you've already saved — it only changes the limits going forward.
What stays
- Saved invoices, quotes and client records
- CVs and any other saved documents
- Your account and login details
What changes
Your daily usage limits return to the free tier, and any paid-plan-only features become unavailable until you upgrade again.
Before cancelling
If you want a backup regardless, download anything important as a PDF from its respective section — invoices from history, CVs from the CV section — though this isn't required since the data itself isn't deleted.
Reactivating later
If you resubscribe after a period on the free tier, your previously saved work is exactly as you left it — cancelling and later upgrading again does not require rebuilding anything, since nothing was removed in the meantime.
Deleting your account entirely
This is a separate, distinct action from simply cancelling a paid plan — cancelling a subscription and deleting an account are not the same thing, and only full account deletion removes your saved data permanently.
Planning ahead if you expect to cancel
If you know in advance you will be cancelling and want a local backup regardless of the fact that data is retained, downloading key documents shortly before cancellation is a reasonable extra precaution, even though it is not strictly necessary.

This is a deliberate design choice, not just a side effect — your data being tied to your account rather than to an active subscription means you never have to worry about losing past work simply because your usage needs changed for a while. Nothing is deleted just because a plan lapses.
