My upload keeps failing
Quick answerCheck the format first, then the file size, then your connection. Most failures are one of those three.
Work through these in order
1. Format
Each tool accepts specific formats, listed on the tool page. HEIC photos, WebP images and unusual video containers are the most common rejections.
2. File size
Every tool has a maximum size. Compress the file first, or split it into parts if the tool supports that.
3. Connection
A large file on a slow or unstable connection can time out. Try on Wi-Fi rather than mobile data, or compress the file to make the upload shorter.
4. The file itself
If a file opens nowhere else either, it is damaged. Get a fresh copy from the source.
5. Browser
Try a different browser or a private window. An extension occasionally blocks uploads.
