Equal Split with Tip
Step 1: Calculate the tip on the total bill. Tip amount = Bill × (Tip % ÷ 100)
Step 2: Add tip to get the grand total.
Step 3: Divide by the number of people.
Example: Rs 6,000 bill, 5 people, 10% tip.
- Tip: 6,000 × 0.10 = Rs 600
- Total: 6,000 + 600 = Rs 6,600
- Per person: 6,600 ÷ 5 = Rs 1,320 each

- Each person adds up their own items.
- Divide any shared items (starters, drinks) equally between those who had them.
- Calculate each person's tip proportionally: their subtotal ÷ total bill × tip amount.

When to Split Unevenly
An equal split is simplest when everyone ordered roughly the same value of food and drink.
