How to find the right tool quickly

Category: Getting Started Updated: 26 Sep 2026 0 reads
Quick answerUse the search bar in the header, or browse by category from the All Tools page.

With well over a hundred tools available, finding the specific one you need quickly matters — here's the fastest way.

Using search

The search bar in the site header finds tools by name or common task description — searching "compress" or "merge" surfaces the relevant tools directly without needing to know the exact tool name.

Browsing by category

The All Tools page groups everything by type — PDF, Image, Video & Audio, SEO, Text & Dev, Calculators, Pakistan Tools — useful when you know the category but not the exact tool name.

If you're not sure which tool does what you need

The floating assistant (bottom-right of the screen) can point you to the right tool directly — describe what you're trying to do in plain language, in English, Urdu or Roman Urdu.

Using the assistant for an unclear need

If you know roughly what outcome you want but not the specific tool name — "I need to make my CNIC copy smaller for a form" rather than "Image Compress" — describing the situation to the floating assistant in plain language, in whichever language is comfortable, gets you pointed to the right tool directly.

Bookmarking tools you use often

For tools used regularly, bookmarking the specific tool page directly skips the search step entirely on future visits.

Learning the tool categories over time

Frequent users often find that after using the site a few times, they naturally remember which category a given task falls under — PDF, Image, Video & Audio, and so on — which speeds up finding tools even without using search each time.

Related help articles

For anyone new to the site, spending a few minutes browsing the All Tools page once, just to get a general sense of what categories exist, pays off later by making both search and direct navigation faster on future visits.

Frequently asked questions

Is the search bar better than browsing categories?

Yes — describe your task in plain language and it points you to the right tool directly.
