DIJKOT:
Police have arrested a woman and an accomplice of hers for murdering her husband by strangulation.
The victim had been murdered 10 days ago in Madina Town.
According to the FIR registered under Sections 302 and 34 of Pakistan Penal Code, Humaira Bibi had allegedly strangulated her husband Nawaz with the help of Shoaib.
Investigators claimed that then woman had confessed during interrogation to having an affair with Shoaib, which her husband had discovered. Refusing to end the relationship, she conspired with Shoaib to murder him.
Both suspects have been taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed by her husband in a knife attack following a domestic dispute. Police took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for post-mortem, following which it was handed over to the family, while efforts were under way to arrest the suspect.
According to the FIR lodged by Muhammad Idrees, a resident of Motorway Valley, his 50-year-old mother Abida Parveen had an argument with her husband Allah Ditta. During the altercation, Allah Ditta attacked her with a knife, causing injuries that proved fatal.
The Nishatabad police handed over the body to the family of the deceased after completing legal formalities.
Police officials said they were conducting raids to arrest the suspect.
