Suicide attack the gate of a Federal Constabulary headquarters in Peshawar on Monday
PESHAWAR:
Video footage of the attack on the Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters in Peshawar has surfaced, clearly showing the movements and sequence of actions carried out by the assailants. According to sources, the footage has been obtained from multiple CCTV cameras installed around the area.
The visuals show all three attackers arriving on a single motorcycle, travelling in the wrong direction on the road. They parked the motorcycle near a shop close to the FC Headquarters. The first suicide bomber can be seen waiting outside the gate for a considerable amount of time, while another attacker wearing a cap repeatedly hides his face with a shawl. One of the attackers is also seen walking some distance on foot as students and vehicles pass by.
The footage clearly captures the moment the first attacker detonates his explosive device at the gate, after which the other two attackers enter the premises through the smoke. However, an armoured vehicle blocks their advance, forcing them toward the parking area.
CCTV clips also show the attackers making repeated attempts to move out of the parking zone, along with the blast that occurred inside the parking area.
