RAWALPINDI:
By-elections for the Ward 8 councillor seat in the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) will take place on October 5, with political manoeuvring and campaigning now in full swing. The seat fell vacant following the death of a PML-N councillor.
The ward has 40,000 registered voters. To ensure a peaceful vote, 13 polling stations have been established, three of which have been declared sensitive. In total, 10 candidates are in the running.
