LAHORE:

A suspected habitual offender, Ali Hassan, was killed in an alleged police encounter involving the Crime Control Department (CCD) Iqbal Town in the Bata Pur area.

Reportedly, Ali Hassan was wanted in 53 cases of robbery, theft, and street crime. He was taken into custody earlier and was being transported to Bata Pur for the recovery of stolen goods when the incident occurred.

Police claim that Hassan’s accomplices opened fire on the raiding team, during which the suspect was killed—allegedly by bullets fired by his own associates. The attackers managed to flee the scene. The body was shifted to the morgue, while the area was cordoned off in a search operation to trace the fleeing suspects.
