Victoria Beckham has recently opened up about her struggles with problematic skin in the past.
The fashion designer confessed she used makeup as a “mask” to hide her skin issue especially during her Spice Girls period between 1994–2000.
Victoria shared a clip from her self-titled Netflix docu-series to her Instagram on October 21.
Dishing out details about her love for makeup, the businesswoman revealed it is something she has been interested in since she was “very little”.
“I’ve been make-up obsessed since I was very little. Every day I’d go into school and they would send me straight to the bathroom to take my make-up off,” recalled the 50-year-old.
Victoria mentioned she “had very problematic skin, I remember times when I wouldn’t have the confidence to look someone in the eye. I suppose I used it as a mask”.
“Since before I can remember I was collecting products that I liked, products that had been discontinued, little samples of lipsticks that make-up artists had mixed for me because we couldn’t find the perfect colour,” explained the fashion designer.
However, now with her beauty business, Victoria stated, “I can obsess over everything.”
Victoria had previously discussed her insecurity with her “problematic” skin as she suffered acne issues during her teens.
Earlier in 2024, in an interview with The Telegraph, Victoria mentioned she sought advice from skincare experts for her skin issue.
But now she follows a strict routine to ensure her skin remains clear.
