CENTCOM’s X post shows the deployment of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) being used in a desert area. Foreign Minister of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi replied to the post on X, thanking the US for admitting they are “using our neighbours’ territory to deploy HIMARS systems against our people”.
Thank you CENTCOM for admitting that you are using our neighbors’ territory to deploy HIMARS systems against our people, apparently including a desalination plant.

He followed up the statement saying that “nobody should complain if our missiles destroy these systems wherever they are in retribution.”
In late January, both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates released statements saying that they would not allow their airspace, territory or territorial waters for any hostile military action against Iran.
Since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran, at least 1,332 Iranian civilians have been killed, and thousands have been wounded, according to Iran’s UN ambassador.
On the US side, 7 service members have been confirmed killed, with the latest individual dead during an attack in Saudi Arabia, according to CNN.
