QUETTA: A powerful explosion rocked the outskirts of Quetta on Saturday evening, killing two brothers and injuring at least nine others. The blast occurred in the Killi Mangla area near Srah Khula, within the jurisdiction of Hanna Police Station in Quetta.

According to police, the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in the area. The device detonated with a loud blast, killing two sons of a man named Abdullah — identified as Abdul Salam and Abdul Nafi — on the spot. The explosion left nine others seriously injured, including Janan, Saifur Rehman, Samiullah, Zabihullah, Muhammad Asif, Naseebullah, and Jameel Ahmed.

The sound of the explosion was heard from a considerable distance, creating panic and fear in the surrounding areas. Emergency response teams, including police, local administration, and the bomb disposal squad, quickly reached the site. The area was cordoned off, and the bodies and injured were shifted to a hospital.
