A kidnapping attempt on social media influencer and TikTok star Samia Hijab has been foiled in the federal capital. The incident came to light after CCTV footage went viral on social media, prompting the police to take swift action and arrest the suspect, Hassan Zahid. His initial statement has been recorded, and further investigation is underway.
According to details, Samia Hijab lodged a complaint at Shalimar Police Station, upon which a case was registered. The FIR stated that the accused had been following her for several days and repeatedly tried to pressure her by offering gifts. On the evening of August 31 at around 6.30pm, the suspect allegedly tried to forcibly take her away outside her residence.
The FIR further revealed that the suspect openly threatened to kill Samia Hijab and take revenge if she resisted. In a video statement, the influencer said her life was in serious danger and appealed for immediate police protection. She also provided CCTV footage and other evidence to the police.
