KARACHI:
Three young men drowned at Sandspit Beach at Hawke’s Bay on Sunday. One was fished out alive by the rescuers, while the other two died.
According to SHO Maripur, Sardar Abbasi, the deceased was identified as Ali Hassan, and the unconscious youth as Farhan Shah.
The third missing youth has been identified as Jameel Naveed.
The three friends lived in North Karachi and had come to Hawke’s Bay for a picnic.
They were splashing on the beach when suddenly high tides swept them away into the deep. Like millions of beachgoers, they did not know how to swim.
