Taylor Swift has revealed she has no plans to travel to space, calling the idea “cold” and “scary”.

The pop superstar spoke candidly during an appearance on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show with Scott Mills, where she dismissed the idea of following other celebrities such as Katy Perry, William Shatner, and Gayle King into space.

When asked if she would ever consider space travel, the 35-year-old singer immediately replied, “Never, why would I do that. There’s no reason to do that. I don’t wanna do that ever. I never, oh my god, no. It’s, I don’t wanna, no. I don’t, I can’t, I don’t, no. It’s cold, it’s scary. I don’t know if I can come back down.” She laughed as she added that the question itself made her panic, saying, “I thought you were gonna make me go!”

Speaking with Female First UK, Swift explained that part of her reluctance also comes from how people would react if she did take a flight beyond Earth’s atmosphere. “If I go, no one will believe I went. It doesn’t matter if you go because everyone thinks you didn’t go. Or they have a weird take on it. It is just, I have no, no fascination.”

Swift is currently focused on promoting her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, and has made it clear that her creative journey on Earth is far from over.
