LAHORE:
A kidnapping case suspect was killed during a police encounter with Crime Control Department (CCD) in Nishtar Colony area. According to the CCD spokesperson, the deceased — identified as Asif — was wanted in a kidnapping case and was killed by the gunfire of his own accomplices during a shootout with law enforcement. The incident occurred when CCD officials set up a checkpoint to intercept suspects traveling from Kasur.
As soon as the suspects spotted the police, they opened fire in an attempt to flee. In the exchange, Asif was fatally shot, allegedly by bullets fired by his own associates.
