ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) Sunday declared that the season’s first super moon will be observable on the evening of Oct 7 (Tuesday).
The Commission said the super moon will rise from the east at 8:47pm and set in the west. This super moon will look about 6.6 per cent bigger and shine 13 per cent brighter than a regular full moon, media channels reported.
The commission also stated that the planet Saturn will be visible close to the super moon, appearing just to its left on Oct 6 and 7.
This super moon is the first of several special moons expected this year.
