ISLAMABAD:

The Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination on Tuesday undertook a detailed consideration of a private member’s bill seeking ban on use of vape.

Members appreciated the intent and efforts behind the proposed legislation — The Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (Regulation) Bill, 2025 — and held an in-depth discussion on its various provisions.

The ministry briefed the committee on objections raised by stakeholders and proposed a complete ban on the use of vapes, citing concerns that such devices could facilitate drug intoxication.
