Educational activities in Lahore will resume on September 1, following a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of the District Education Authority Lahore, in line with instructions from the Punjab School Education Department dated August 29.

The order stated that while all schools in the district would reopen, 45 institutions will remain closed. These include schools in flood-affected areas and those being used as flood relief camps.

The list covers several government schools, including Government Girls Higher Secondary School Chung, Government High School Shahdara Mor Farakh Abad, Government Central Model School No. 2 Rattigan Road, and Government High School Mohlanwal Multan Road.

Girls’ primary and model schools in Rangeelpur, Manowal, Qila Tarrar, and Mohlanwal Khurd are also affected.

Institutions under the Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA) and Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) are included, such as GPS Manga Hittar (PEIMA-PSSP), GPS Mohlanwal Khurd (PEEF), and GPS Jhugian Bajanar (PEEF).

Private schools in Tehsil Raiwind—among them British Grammar School, The Heaven School System, The Stars Education Complex, Dar-e-Arqam Manga Mandi, and Children Paradise—are also listed.

Parents and students have been advised to stay in contact with their respective school administrations for updates. The notification directed all schools to comply with the Punjab School Education Department guidelines.

Copies of the order were circulated to the Secretary of the Punjab School Education Department, CEOs of the District Education and Health Authorities Lahore, and the heads of institutions concerned.
