HYDERABAD:
A special team of the Anti-Corruption Establishment, Hyderabad, conducted a raid at Government Miran School, Hirabad, and arrested senior clerk Salman Memon and Naib Qasid Noor Muhammad while ‘taking bribe’.
According to anti-corruption sources, a retired teacher, Sehar Bano, had submitted a written complaint stating that senior clerk Salman Memon had demanded and received Rs80,000 on October 1, 2025, for processing documents related to her gratuity and other retirement clearances. She further alleged that an additional Rs800,000 had been collected from her at different times.
The complainant stated that in the final stages of the process, the clerk continued to harass her and forced her to provide an advance cheque of Rs450,000, threatening, if she failed to pay the amount, he would register a case against her and would not release her service book.
After receiving the complaint, the Anti-Corruption Department initiated an inquiry and, in the presence of the concerned civil judge, carried out a raid. During the operation, senior clerk Salman Memon and Naib Qasid Noor Muhammad were caught red-handed with the cheque and cash allegedly received as bribe.
