In a blow to the JUI-F, the Supreme Court on Friday reduced the party’s strength in the National Assembly by declaring PkMAP candidate Khushhal Khan Kakar the returned candidate from NA-251, overturning the earlier victory of JUI-F’s Syed Samiullah.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Shahid Waheed and comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shakeel Ahmad announced the short order after hearing an election appeal arising from the constituency.
The court declared the Balochistan Election Tribunal’s Nov 24, 2025 decision null and void and directed the ECP to issue a notification.
