Criminals fled with 25 tola of gold, Rs360,000 in cash, three mobile phones, and other household items

In an armed robbery, five gunmen broke into a house in Karachi’s PNT Colony in Korangi in the early hours of Monday, held the family at gunpoint, and stole valuables, including gold worth approximately Rs12.5 million.
According to police, the incident occurred around 5:30am when the armed robbers scaled the walls of the house and forced their way inside. The family, comprising an elderly man, his three sons, their wives, and children, was terrorised. The bandits ransacked the home while keeping the entire family at gunpoint.
The criminals fled with 25 tola of gold, Rs360,000 in cash, three mobile phones, children’s toys, clothing, shoes, and other household items. Police from the Korangi Industrial Area called the crime scene unit to collect evidence that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
Authorities confirmed that no CCTV cameras were installed at the victim’s house, but efforts are being made to retrieve footage from nearby cameras in PNT Colony to help identify and apprehend the culprits.
The affected family reportedly runs a small business, buying goods from factories and supplying them to retailers. Police said investigations are ongoing, and efforts to trace the robbers are underway.
