ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed their resolve to work in close coordination for the country’s stability, economic progress and overall prosperity.
The reaffirmation came during a meeting held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where the two leaders held in-depth discussions on the prevailing political, economic and security situation in the country.
According to an announcement from the President House, the meeting between Zardari and Shehbaz also reviewed the law & order situation and ongoing measures to counter terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed the president on the government’s efforts to revitalise the economy and its strategy for sustainable development.
Federal ministers Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Mohsin Naqvi, and Adviser to PM on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah were also present.
