Malaysian PM shared details of conversations with global leaders, emphasising need to end Middle East conflict

Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif discussed the Gulf situation and regional tensions with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, after receiving a telephone call from him on Thursday.

Praising PM Shehbaz for his leadership, the Malaysian PM also shared details of his conversations with various global leaders, emphasising the immediate need to end the Middle East conflict. He offered Malaysia’s full support for Pakistan’s peace efforts.

PM Shehbaz appreciated the message of support from the Malaysian PM for Pakistan’s leadership efforts in mediation to end the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. He informed the Malaysian prime minister about the latest diplomatic efforts, including his discussions with the leaders of the brotherly Gulf countries and Iran to bring the United States and Iran to the negotiating table.

Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked the Malaysian Prime Minister and assured him that Pakistan would continue its sincere and genuine efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region. Both leaders agreed to maintain mutual contact, and they also exchanged Eidul Fitr greetings and prayed for the unity and development of the Muslim Ummah.
