ISLAMABAD:
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has clarified that reports about major changes in Pakistani passports are baseless, saying that only new features are being added while the overall design remains unchanged.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the department said the new passports will now include the mother’s name alongside the father’s, and will feature enhanced security elements.
The visa pages of the new passport will also carry images of historic landmarks from different provinces, it added.
