NBA Youngboy’s recent sold out gig in New Orleans turned out quite messy.
The 26-year-old is currently busy with MASA tour for which he performed multiple shows.
On October 20, Youngboy performed at his second sold-out New Orleans show at the Smoothie King Center where fans, who did not have a ticket also tried to enter the venue forcefully.
The security tried to lock down the doors, refraining even the ticketholders to enter the arena temporarily.
Internet has been flooding with various videos that showcased the chaos created at NBA’s concert, where people could be seen clustering near the closed doors and trying to enter the arena powerfully.
A former police officer named Justin Brown described the scene as “chaotic”. According to him, “Kids were running around just crazy. People stormed inside multiple times, pushing themselves in.”
The media relations manager at Smoothie King, Mike Hoss released a statement over the matter saying, “We can confirm that non-ticketed patrons attempted to enter the Smoothie King Center after the headline artist had taken the stage.”
However, he also confirmed that situation was quickly brought under control by the venue personnel and the NOPD (New Orleans Police Department).
NBA is set to perform another big show on Wednesday night, October 22, and considering the security issues at the latest concert, the Birmingham Police Department is making sure to set up increased security protocols.
