MULTAN:
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nouman Siddique has said that upgradation of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) disposal stations in Multan is being carried out at a rapid pace to improve civic facilities for the citizens.
During a visit to a disposal station at Awan Chowk, he received a briefing from officials and directed them to complete the development work within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on quality. He stated that the upgradation of WASA disposal stations would significantly reduce sewerage and drainage-related issues faced by citizens, particularly during the monsoon season, when water stagnation became a major concern.
The DC also visited the Social Welfare Complex to review the facilities being provided to drug addicts undergoing rehabilitation.
