A 40-year-old man was killed while his son was injured after seven armed men allegedly stormed their house and attacked them with axes and iron rods over a dispute related to the alleged abduction of a girl, police said on Wednesday.
According to a police report, the incident occurred in Chak 610-GB.
In a complaint lodged with the police, Majid, son of Lateef Ahmed, stated that his brother Shaukat Ali had allegedly abducted a girl belonging to the accused party.
The matter had earlier been settled through reconciliation by local elders, but the accused allegedly attacked the family to avenge the dispute.
