Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks are soaking up the sun, and their engagement, during a dreamy getaway to the Maldives.
On October 18, The Hunger Games actor shared a carousel of photos from their tropical escape, giving fans a glimpse into their serene island retreat.
“Sun, salt, sea, Amazing place with incredible food and beautiful people,” Hemsworth wrote in his Instagram caption, tagging the luxury resort Joali Being.
In the photos, the 35-year-old actor flaunted his fit physique while enjoying a swim in the crystal-clear ocean.
Another picture captured him flashing a wide grin and giving two thumbs up while relaxing in a pool surrounded by the island’s lush scenery.
Hemsworth also posted several shots of his fiancée, model Gabriella Brooks, 29, lounging on the beach in a light-colored swimsuit, soaking in the golden sunlight.
Just two days later, Brooks shared her own post from the trip, captioning it, “Heaven on earth,” alongside a collection of photos that showcased their picturesque getaway.
The couple, who have been together since 2019, confirmed their engagement on Instagram on September 12. Their relationship has been marked by quiet moments and shared adventures, from beachside vacations to cosy time spent at home.
Back in 2020, Hemsworth revealed to PEOPLE that the two spent the early months of the pandemic together on Phillip Island, his hometown in Australia.
“It’s just a very mellow area where I grew up,” he said at the time. “It’s quiet and it’s a beautiful spot. I’m able to see the ocean from my house.”
He also shared that they spent much of their time surfing and playing board games.
“I used to play with my grandma when I was a kid. She loved Scrabble,” he recalled. “It made me nostalgic and brought back memories.”
The couple made their first public appearance together in June 2021 at a charity dinner, solidifying their relationship after keeping it mostly private for years.
Engagement rumours began swirling in August this year when Brooks was spotted in Ibiza wearing a diamond ring while walking along a yacht dock, even showing it off to a few friends during the trip.
Before their Maldives vacation, the two had shared photos from another stunning getaway last year in Greece.
“Greece, what a wonderful place,” Hemsworth wrote in a June 16 Instagram post, posting snaps of himself by the sea and Brooks walking along the beach.
Now, with the Maldives as their latest destination, Hemsworth and Brooks appear to be reveling in their engagement and the peace of island life, surrounded by sun, sea, and each other.
