Lady Gaga is celebrating a major career milestone and a personal one at the same time.
The 39-year-old pop superstar was crowned Artist of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 7, marking her second win in the category after first taking home the honor in 2020.
Shortly after the show, Gaga rushed back to Madison Square Garden to continue her Mayhem Ball Tour but still made time to reflect on the achievement.
On Instagram, the Grammy-winning artist shared a series of photos showcasing her Moon Person trophy, striking poses in a dramatic Marc Jacobs gown with voluminous sleeves, intricate lace detailing, and a mermaid silhouette.
She finished the look with a bold red floral headpiece styled into her updo with her signature baby bangs.
“MTV VMA ARTIST OF THE YEAR [rose, skull and black heart emojis],” she captioned the post.
The A Star Is Born actress, who went into the night as the most-nominated artist with 12 nods, took home four awards in total.
While celebrating her big wins, Gaga also turned the spotlight on her fiancé Michael Polansky, 46, calling him her personal “artist of the year.”
“Dreaming up this album, making the plan, building every vision with you, talking endlessly about what we would create and do for monsters has been an experience I could not have ever imagined,” Gaga wrote in a heartfelt Instagram tribute on Monday, September 8.
She praised Polansky for his unwavering support, adding, “I love how much you love my fans and want them to be happy. It fills my heart with happiness how much you love them because we get to love them every day together — you care as much as I do about people feeling seen in the world.”
The singer described her partner as her rock both on and off stage, saying, “I’m forever grateful for how much you love and fight for me. You work so so hard with me from dawn till dusk every day living the music, performances, and plans with your blood sweat and tears, to see it through every step of the way this year I am the luckiest girl alive. I love you endlessly.”
Calling Polansky her “creative partner” in art, business, and love, Gaga described their relationship as “a love I’ve never known.”
She added, “You are MY artist of the year. And the love of my life. Thank you for making all our MAYHEM dreams come true.”
The couple, first linked on New Year’s Eve in 2019 before confirming their romance in February 2020, became engaged during the Paris Olympics in 2024.
Gaga shared that one of the intimate photos from her Instagram post is currently displayed by their bedside, making her VMAs victory feel even more personal.
