HYDERABAD. Sindh Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee Chairman Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has opposed the federal government’s plan to wrap up Karachi Dock Labour Board (KDLB) which was established in 1974 and currently has a workforce of 2,600. He said in Larkana on Wednesday that the Center is exhibiting its anti labour approach by considering such plans.
Khuhro, being president of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh chapter, also announced support for the department’s labour union which has started a protest. “The government should rather keep in view that 2,600 families will be deprived of their livelihood.”
