Kai Cenat went viral during his livestream from the 2025 American Music Awards red carpet after an unexpected exchange with a Kanye West fan.
At around the one-hour-eight-minute mark, the Twitch star interacted with a man and his family who expressed admiration for West’s outspokenness.
The individual stated, “We love this guy in here. We want to say – we love Ye. We love Ye for being outspoken, regardless, because it’s America, and I think it’s a great thing to live in a free country. Don’t you, Kai?… I think he’s a great guy… God bless you, Kai.”

Caught off guard, Cenat responded firmly but respectfully: “So, you really have to come to my stream, knowing my influence, to come on here and say that?… I think I want to protect my energy. But I’m going to politely ask you, get out of here, guys. Please! All right, I get it, but I don’t want that.”
The moment quickly gained traction online as users shared clips of the incident.
The livestream also featured Cenat reacting to Eminem winning Favourite Male Hip-Hop Artist and thanking SZA for giving Streamer University a shoutout in her acceptance speech for Favourite Female R&B Artist.
