KARACHI:
Addressing a press conference outside the office of a corporate department, on Friday, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Monem Zafar Khan demanded action against the land-grabber mafia, and its accomplices, in cooperative societies across the city. He was accompanied by representatives of affectees from 15 housing societies.
Zafar demanded the government retrieve the land from the mafia and provide the plots to genuine allottees, claiming that, unfortunately, instead of resolving issues the registrar office itself has become the epicentre of problems.
He announced that a protest would be held today (Saturday), outside the Sindh Assembly.
