Four personnel of the Crime Control Department (CCD) were injured in an encounter in Layyah district.
According to officials, the Muzaffargarh CVD carried out a raid in the Ehsanpura area of Layyah district to arrest a proclaimed offender, Iqrar Hussain alias Iqrari Bhalla, but criminals opened fire on the team to avoid arrest.
The confrontation continued for several hours, during which the four CCD personnel were injured.
