Flour prices in Peshawar have risen sharply after supply from Punjab was partially suspended twice, pushing the cost of basic commodities higher for residents.

The price of a 20-kg bag of special flour has increased to Rs2,550, while fine flour has jumped to Rs2,700 per bag. Mixed flour now costs Rs240 per kilogramme. Also per-kilogram rates for special and fine flour have also risen to Rs140 and Rs150, respectively.

Flour prices continue to fluctuate on a daily basis, leaving consumers uncertain about affordability. The price of a bread has now reached Rs60, with each loaf weighing between 40 and 50 grams.
