RAWALPINDI:

Rawalpindi City Traffic Police has issued a special traffic plan to facilitate the central processions and keep the city traffic moving on Eid Miladun Nabi, the designated 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal celebration.

Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam said that more than 450 personnel, including 7 DSPs, 83 senior traffic wardens, will be on duty on the occasion of the Milad. Two central processions will walk through Rawalpindi on the day. One procession will begin from Jamia Masjid Hanafia, Jami Masjid Road, and the other from No. 22 Chungi.

The first procession will pass through Pul Shah Nazar, Bani Chowk, Murree Road, Committee Chowk, Liaquat Road, Fawara Chowk and Dangi Khoi before culminating at Jama Masjid. The second procession will pass through Tench Road, Dhok Sedan Chowk, Qadmi Chowk, Adra Road, MH Chowk, Safe Chowk, Mansehra Adda, Kamran Market and culminate at GTS Chowk (Old Waran Adda).

CTO Farhan Aslam said that during the procession, traffic will be diverted to alternative routes.
