QUETTA:
Like the rest of the country, the provincial capital of Quetta celebrated Eidul Fitr with traditional enthusiasm and vibrancy on the first day of the festival.
The city came alive with a series of colorful fairs and amusement stalls set up in various neighborhoods, doubling the festive spirit. Large crowds of children and adults flocked to these spots, immersing themselves in the joy and merriment of the occasion.
On the opening day of Eid, children collected their Eidi from family members before heading straight to the fairs. Laughter, smiles, and a cheerful atmosphere filled the air everywhere.
Popular locations such as Khyber Road, Joint Road, Saryab Road, Nawan Killi, Samungli Road, Ghaus Abad, and Qambrani Road featured prominent swing rides that drew special attention from youngsters, who enjoyed them wholeheartedly. Camel rides also proved a unique and exciting attraction, adding extra delight for the little ones.
Food stalls offering a variety of snacks kept visitors engaged throughout the day.
Favorites like gol gappay (pani puri), chaat, ice cream, and other spicy and tasty treats were especially popular among children.
Youngsters used their Eidi money to buy favorite foods, toys, and other items, visibly enhancing their Eid happiness.
Toy stalls saw heavy crowds as well, with children and parents eagerly browsing and shopping.
Residents noted that such fairs not only provide healthy entertainment opportunities for children but also make the joyous occasion of Eid even more colorful and memorable.
