KARACHI:

The 23rd Daachi Arts and Crafts Exhibition wrapped up in spectacular style at Hall 6 of the Expo Centre, transforming the venue into a vibrant celebration of Pakistan’s rich artisanal legacy. Organized by the Daachi Foundation, the two-day festival drew thousands of visitors who were captivated by the explosion of colors, intricate designs, and the soulful beauty of handmade crafts.

From terracotta pottery and handwoven textiles to carved wood, silver jewelry from Bahawalpur, and organic products from Hunza – the exhibition was a sensory delight. More than 200 artisans from across the country displayed their masterpieces, while over 20 contemporary designers reimagined traditional crafts with a modern twist. A dedicated art gallery and stalls featuring homemade organic foods added warmth and flavor to the experience.

Founded in 2010 by Ayesha Noorani and a collective of visionary creatives, Daachi Foundation continues to empower local artisans. With 22 successful exhibitions under its belt, the Foundation now plans to launch “Daachi Nagar” – a permanent craft village offering training, exhibition space, and sustainable income opportunities.
